Some of the more popular activities include viewing the sunrise or sunset from the summit, visiting the visitor center for exhibits on local history and natural features, or simply taking in the stunning view. Admission to the summit is $18 for adults and $9 for children (ages 3-11). A one-way adult ticket is also available for $30.
Mount Washington can also be reached by cable car, which departs from the midtown area of Pittsburgh. The ride takes about 20 minutes and costs $6 for adults and $4 for children. The cable car operates from March through November, weather permitting.
