The Pittsburgh Zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals representing 1,000 different species. The zoo features a Safari Park, an IMAX Theatre and the world’s second largest aquarium. Admission prices vary depending on the time of year and the type of admission you purchase. For example, a general admission ticket for adults costs $27.95 during the weekdays and $39.95 on weekends; however, school group tickets cost only $12 for students with ID and their teachers in addition to regular general admission price ($19.95). The zoo is open from 10am-5pm from April through October and from 10am-4pm November through March.
